BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT!!! 3-2-14 BELLA HAD HER BABIES LAST NIGHT. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY BABIES SHE HAD, BUT, I BET THEY WILL BE BEAUTIFUL, BECAUSE SHE SURE IS. THESE BABIES WILL NOT BE GOING HOME WITH ANYONE UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF APRIL. BELLA'S PRETTY FACE AND TUMMY ARE BELOW AND EMERIL'S PHOTO IS ON THE "MORE PHOTOS" PAGE. ALSO, THERE IS A PHOTO OF MY GRANDSON HOLDING "BELLA" ON THE HOME PAGE OF THIS WEBSITE. (3-3-14 I checked Bella's babies this morning. She also has 6 babies. I can not believe it. I have never had my Dwarfs have 6 bunnies before. Now, I have had two in a row, from small mamas.) I HAVE TWO THAT ARE NOT SPOKEN FOR. THEY ARE $60. 3-12-14 I checked Bella's babies this morning. They are all fat little darlings. Two Jet Black & four Black Otters.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT #2 Stoney, one of my Blue Eyed White Bunnies had babies last night. They are all sold. The papa is Blue Boy. I do not have a photo of him. The only reason I am putting this on my website is that I have waited almost a year for the birth of Blue Eyed White babies and I am thrilled to death. I have not counted them or even looked at them. Only made sure that they are warm. I can't wait to see them. (I do not disturb mama and babies until the day after they are born.) Photo of Blue Bell (Stoney's daughter) below.(Update: Stoney had two babies. They are both doing well.)
March 9, 2014- I have two mama bunnies that are due to have bunnies around the 16th of this month. There is no telling how many, what color or if they will be boys or girls. Only Mother Nature knows if they will even have bunnies. BUT, if they do have babies, none of them are reserved yet. If you think you might want one call me right away so I can put your name down. These bunnies wouldn't be ready to go home with you until the end of April. (3-20-14- They are all reserved now.)
March 16, 2014- UPDATE- Both Mamas had babies. It is too cold for me to mess around trying to look at them and possibly get them chilled. One of them is Blue Belle, a Blue Eyed White. They were sold before they were born. The other mama is Abby. She usually has several colors in her bunch of babies. Black Otters, Jet Blacks and possibly a surprise color.
March 17, 2014- My Broken Blue mama, Promise, is due the first week of April. IF she has babies, she will most likely have Blue Silver Martins, Broken Blues or Blue Charlie Marks. I will post when and IF she has babies. The papa will be Emeril.
UPDATE- March 20, 2014- Just as I thought, Abby had Black Otters, Jet Blacks and two surprise colors. What fun it is to find out what color they are. Bluebelle had three blue eyed white babies. Again, they were spoken for before they were born. All the babies are nice and fat and doing well.
MARCH 22, 2014- Well, I went out to the bunny barn to check Abby's babies just a little while ago. All those Black Otters I thought she had, were showing golden through the black parts. They are Chestnuts! About the same color as the squirrels in your back yard. Or you could say, they look like wild rabbits. That's the big surprise color I mentioned two days ago. One of them was showing Chestnut at that time but, the others weren't. Then I checked Stoney's two little Blue Eyed White babies. Their eyes are open and they are as fat as ticks. One is a boy and one is a girl. I was surprised that I was able to tell boys from girls at this young age. They haven't even hopped out of the nest yet. Just goes to show, you never can tell. The papa is Blue Boy from Louisiana, my friend Becky's male Blue Eyed White. Bluebelle's three little Blue Eyed White babies are just about ready to start opening their eyes at the first of the week. The papa is Blue Bayou, my Blue Eyed White Buck. Jujube, Bluebelle's sister, may have some bunnies in the first week of April. Time will tell.
3-27-14- All of the news was transferred to the "Dear Diary" page. I will start new updates as soon as I have news to tell.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- April 4, 2014- Promise had her babies this morning. I will check them tomorrow. As I have said before, I never handle them the first day. However, I did put my hand on top of the nest she built and felt them wiggling. These babies will be going to people who have been waiting a couple of months for her babies to be born. Jujube is not due to have her babies until the first of next week. Again, all her babies are spoken for. UPDATE- 4-5-14- Promise had 3 Charlie Marked babies and 2 Blue Silver Martin Babies. Do not call me about these babies, they are all promised to people who have been waiting for a while. I am leaving the photos of SOLD babies on this page so that you can see some of the baby bunnies I have had this year. Look at the "pet photos" page for more baby bunny photos and their new families.
4-13-14- Jujube and Lovey Dovey have never had babies before. They elected not to start being moms just yet. We will try again for babies from each of them. Meanwhile we are waiting on Fiona to have her babies. The papa will be Emeril. They are due on Easter Sunday. It would be great if her babies were born on Easter. I am going to cross my fingers and I hope that you will too.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- 4-20-14- Fiona did have her babies on Easter Sunday! We discovered them before we went to church. I haven't looked at them yet. Later that day one of the babies forgot to let go of mom. She pulled him out of the nest (still hanging on) when she hopped out. It was a Ruby Eyed White baby, the first one born here. I do not raise Ruby Eyed White rabbits, so this was a big surprise. I put the baby back in the nest and covered it with the fur she lined the nest with. She seems much relieved. All of these babies are spoken for. MEANWHILE- Promises babies have their eyes open and are considering jumping out of the nest. They keep peeking over the edge and then ducking their little heads back down. They will get brave enough to hop out soon.
April 23, 2014- My little sweetie, Starlight, should be having babies before the weekend. When she lays down on her side, I can see the little babies move in her tummy. It is so much fun to watch, you can tell when they are moving around or just kicking her in the belly. She doesn't seem to mind. By the way, Promises babies are out of the nest and making trouble for mom. They won't let her take a nap. She has to jump on top of the nest box to get away from them for a while. Another bit of news: One of Fiona's babies appears to be a Lavender. I will keep you posted on this possible development in baby colors.
May 6, 2014- A block of old news was transferred to the "Dear Diary" page.
April 25, 2014- Still no babies from Starlight. I think I am driving her crazy going to check on her.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- 4-26-14- This morning I went straight to Starlight's cage and found she had pulled her fur and made a deep nest. There were three white babies in it! They were all huddled together, so I did not pick them up to see if they were "Charlie Marks" or not. All of these babies are spoken for. In regard to the color of Fiona's babies, I am not so sure the bunny that I first thought was going to be a Ruby Eyed White is going to turn out to be one. As the fur is coming out it seems to have a color to it, although not much color. I will have to wait until it is fully furred to tell what color it is. I will keep you posted.
May 1, 2014- Gayla could possibly have babies this weekend. We are anxiously awaiting the bunny stork. Yesterday we drove to Louisiana and picked up some young does from my friend Becky. They are so pretty. One Chestnut and one Chinchilla. They should have gorgeous babies when they get old enough this summer. Jack is working on photos for the website. I will try to have them posted on the "More Photos" page before to long. We have received some wonderful photos of pet bunnies to put on the "Pet Photos" page. They are great pictures and I am sure you will enjoy them as soon as I finish editing the text and titles for them.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT-5-3-14- Gayla had her little babies this morning while Jack and I were at my Grandson's soccer game. At first I didn't notice, she was very neat and did not have any stray fur strewn about her cage. (This is a sure sign of pending birth.) Then, I put my hand in her nest box and felt babies moving around. I will let you know how many and what colors in a couple of days when she settles down. Right now she is nervous about me messing with her new kits. The next mama to possibly have little bunnies is Domino. If she has some, it will be the first of the week. Last time she had a mishap and raised no babies. Hopefully she will have better luck this time around. I took Promise's babies away from her two days ago. They are eating on their own and come hopping to the cage door when I go to feed them. There is a photo of them on the "More Photos" page. As I said before, they are all spoken for.
May 6, 2014- Well, Domino has not had any babies so far. They were due yesterday. She could still have a litter today or tomorrow. This late birthing has happened before. 5-9-14- Domino did not have any babies. We will try again.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT 4-9-14- Today has been a very good day for me. Jujube had three Blue Eyed White Babies! They were not expected until tomorrow. I fed the bunnies and came back two hours later and there they were. Jujube is a fast worker. She wasn't giving any of the usual signs that babies were coming when I was there. Bayou is the papa.
May 12, 2014- Update- Gayla's little one are just getting their eyes open. There are two solid Chocolates, one Chocolate Silver Martin, one Black Otter and one Jet Black with a white nose . Woo Hoo, they are so cute. They are trying to walk around on their little wobbly legs and sniff around. They are all spoken for.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- May 14, 2014- Bella had babies this morning while the cold wind was howling. She covered her little ones with fur (She plucked the fur from her chest and belly.) so they would stay warm. Hopefully it will be warm enough outside to look at them tomorrow.
AVAILABILITY ANNOUNCEMENT- Jujube had babies on the 9th (my Mother's birthday.) One of her babies has not been reserved. They are the rare and beautiful Blue Eyed Whites at $100 each. I can not give you a choice of male or female because I do not know which they are. There are photos of Blue Eyed Whites on the "Home Page", lower on this page, and photos of a Blue Eyed White named "Bon Bon" on the "Pet Photos" page, down near the bottom. Email me using the form below or text me at 281-455-3943. First come, first served. Sorry, I do not ship.
5-15-14- I sneaked in and took a quick peek at Bella's babies. There seems to be two Charlie Marks and three that are either Jet Blacks or Black Otters. I will clarify this when they get a little older. She is very nervous about me fooling around in her cage. I moved her to a larger cage, two days before her babies were born, so that she would have extra room. This made her kind of skittish. Bluebelle is due to have babies this weekend. My new Blue Eyed White Buck, "Sonny", will be the papa. Bluebelle is a very good mother and takes extra care with her babies.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT #2 Stoney, one of my Blue Eyed White Bunnies had babies last night. They are all sold. The papa is Blue Boy. I do not have a photo of him. ANNOUNCEMENT- May 16, 2014- AS OF THIS DAY I WILL NO LONGER HAVE A "WAITING LIST" EXCEPT FOR BLUE EYED WHITE BUNNIES. Keeping up with it is too much work and takes all the fun away. Bunnies are my fun hobby. Jack loves to take photos and I love to write about the babies. I have not been able to put baby bunnies for sale on this page for months because of the "waiting list". After the people that are on my waiting list get a bunny, I will start putting photos of bunnies for sale on this site. It will be first come, first served. Thank you for understanding.
UPDATE- 5-30-14-I am working my way through the "waiting list". I text'd everyone and asked if they want to stay on the list. Anyone who doesn't respond will be scratched off. I can hardly wait to put bunny photos on this page for you to see and to write about their funny antics. Be patient, it will happen.
ANNOUNCEMENT---My waiting list is finished! I will begin posting bunny babies as soon as they are old enough for photos. I am expecting to post bunnies for sale around the end of the month. It will be first come, first served. No waiting list, only reservations for the ones I have posted. When you have a confirmation text from me that a bunny baby is reserved for you, it will be ready to go to your house in about 10 days.

ANNOUNCEMENT-6-11-14- Babies have been born! They are now about 10 days old and their eyes are opening. Such cuties. I will be posting photos on this page as soon as they are old enough. Sorry, no waiting list, except for the rare Blue Eyed Whites. (None of these babies are Blue Eyes.)
6-13-14- These little babies think they are big enough to go exploring. They crawl out of the nest, very curious, and soon freeze in fright when they land on the floor of the cage. One smell of mama causes them to crawl (They don't hop very well at this age) toward mama for some more breakfast. She wants no part of this, and jumps on top of the nest box to get away. FYI- Mama rabbits only feed their babies once per day, usually in the very early morning.
ANNOUNCEMENT- 6-18-14- Stoney had two little Blue Eyed White babies today while I was in Louisiana visiting my friend. They are pink because they do not have any fur yet. Sadie looks like she went through a hurricane. She pulled out a lot of her fur to make a soft nest for them. I can hardly wait until their eyes open and they start looking around. FYI- New babies make trails under the hay in the nest box. When they are about a week old they can scoot through their tunnels very fast to hide. Their eyes are not even open yet, but they can navigate their little world pretty well.
6-20-14- The older babies are eating bunny pellets now. They sit in the food bowl and stuff themselves. When one is in the bowl, the others have to wait. Most of them are Charlie Marked and cute as pie.
I will post the first one for sale next week. Jack will be taking photos and I will be telling you about them. The babies won't be ready to go home with their new families until July 11th or after.
6-22-14- A Lady could not take Corky home and wants to wait until another litter is born closer to Christmas. So I listed him/her below. What a sweet baby! 6-23-14- Corky has been spoken for.

6-26-14 Almost all of the new bunnies that I will be posting below are "Charlie Marks". There are a couple of babies that are not, but they are too little to post now.
6-29-14 ANNOUNCEMENT- My sweet little "Starlight" had two fat Black Otter babies in her nest when I went out to feed her this morning. She did not like me messing around in her nest, she is being protective of her new little ones. In a couple of days when she settles down I will look at them again to make sure they are OK. I will post them below when they get old enough to take a photo. Right now, only their mother thinks they are beautiful. Their eyes are shut and they have no hair. But they can squeak really loud. LATER THAT NIGHT- I went out to check on Starlight's babies. Much to my surprise, she had another Black Otter baby sometime this afternoon!
7-2-14- Starlight's babies are only 5 days old, but they have a tunnel built in the hay. They march single file around the edge of the nest box on their "bunny highway"! You can see the hay wiggle as they go around. When they get tired, they just pile up where they are and snooze. The biggest, fattest one seems to be a Chestnut. They all looked like otters at first, then their fur started coming in and the chestnut colored hairs started to show through the black.

7-7-14 Gayla is tearing up all the hay in her cage. I think she may be trying to build a nest for babies! I will keep you posted.
7-8-14- ANNOUNCEMENT- Sometime yesterday evening, Gayla had her little babies. She has them all covered up with fur that she plucked from her tummy and legs. I am not looking at them yet, she is very protective and gets upset when the door to her cage is opened. I give her a treat and she settles down. It is too hot to be upsetting her just because I am curious. 7-13-14 UPDATE- Gayla has one Charlie Marked, One Solid Chocolate, one Chestnut, 3 Black Otters/Martins and one that is similar to a Martin, but has larger areas of silver. Count them- Seven babies! She is only a two and a half pound mama. She can't possibly make enough milk for this many babies once they get a little larger and eating more. Yesterday I started feeding the smallest one with an eyedropper. It did not like it one bit. He fussed and wiggled and got some in his nose. I had to put a drop of milk on each babies head so that she did not think he was a stranger. They all smelled alike, mama was happy. I will post photos when they are old enough for new homes. Sorry-No waiting list.

7-14-14- Sometime tomorrow night or Wednesday morning new babies are expected.
UPDATE- 7-15-14 Jujube is carrying hay around in her mouth and scratching in her box like a crazy bunny. This is a sure sign that babies are coming. Jujube is a Blue Eyed White and there is a waiting list for her babies. One more mama, a Black Otter named Bella is due tonight or tomorrow. I can hardly wait! UPDATE 7-16-14- two Blue Eyed Whites and 4 Jet Black babies were born last night. I will post them individually when they get big enough to photo.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- 7-23-14- We had a horrible thunderstorm this morning around 9am. During this terrible wind and rain, little Sadie built a nest of hay and lined it with her beautiful white fur. After the storm passed I went out to the bunny barn and found newborn babies in Sadie's nest. I gave her a small carrot, which she loves, and some bunny supplement especially made for mama bunnies. She is a happy camper, and so am I.

UPDATE- As soon as everyone on my Blue Eyed White waiting list has their bunny, I will not longer keep a waiting list for any of my bunnies. I will post them when they are ready for new homes. You can text me if you see one you want to take home with you.
SADIE UPDATE- Sweet Miss Sadie had 4 little babies. They are all cute as can be, only a mother (or me) could love them. They are naked with no fur and their eyes are closed. They are tiny and look like little mice. They wiggle and squeak and make mom nervous when I move the fur she has covered them with. I guess I had better leave them alone.
BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT- 7-26-14- When I went out to the bunny barn at 6am Fiona had constructed a nest of hay and soft white fur. There were 4 babies tucked into the warm nest that she made. One Ruby Eyed White and three blue ones, I think. Naturally, I am not picking them up and counting them just yet. I just counted what I could see. There may be more! I will let you know. Sadie's babies are blue, but I can't see if they are solid Blue (Self) or Blue Silver Martins. She is very protective of them.
BLARE THE TRUMPETS AND LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!! Jack's first bunny of his very own, Maybelline, had babies. Looks like she had 2 Charlie Marks (like her), one Blue Eyed White and One Chestnut Agouti that has a white belly with a white stripe down the middle of it's face. He is sooooo proud! I can't wait to see if the Charlie Marked babies have the beautiful eyeliner that their mother has. I will keep you posted. Maybelline's photo is on the "More Photos" page.
7-29-14- Two of Sadie's babies are lighter than the blue ones. They may be Smoke Pearl Martins or Lilac Silver Martins. They don't have enough fur to tell for sure. We shall see what develops as they mature. Fiona has two light ones also. The father of both litters is Emeril, both mamas are Ruby Eyed Whites, so the babies will be what ever color the papa has in his background. Ruby Eyed Whites are albinos and can give no color to babies except albino (Ruby Eyed White). Emeril has a rainbow of blue hues in his background.

8-21-14 Sylvie had her very first litter two days ago. They are dark colored, so I will have to wait to see if they are going to be Chinchillas like her, or Black Otters.
8-27-14- It must be runt season. I am feeding the runts from two different litters with an eyedropper. The first one is Gerbee. The bunny baby is about 1/4 the size of it's litter mates. This little "Charlie Marked" baby looked like a white gerbil when I first noticed he wasn't getting enough milk from his mom. The bigger bunnies knocked him away and drank all the milk. I mixed up some "kitten milk replacer" with a drop of Karo syrup and put the eyedropper in it's mouth. The poor little thing was so hungry he couldn't drink it fast enough. He gagged and choked and got it in his nose! He finally learned how to eat and is getting a little fat tummy. He comes running when I call "Gerbee are you hungry?" The next baby is the runt in a litter of Blue Eyed Whites. I call him "Squirtzee". He hates the milk, he hates the eyedropper and he thinks I am trying to hurt him. When I pick him up to feed him he squeals like a piggy. This makes his mom very nervous. But, somehow he gets some milk down and his little tummy is getting fatter. I will keep both of these little babies until they are over two months old, just to make sure they are going to be OK at a new home. UPDATE- Sylvie has two Black Silver Martin and two Chinchilla babies! ALSO-- Maybelline's babies are all very small little guys, plus Gerbee, the runt. Mama and papa are both small, so they had small babies. I will keep them longer to make sure they will be OK in a new home. I am in no rush to send bunnies away to new homes. Whatever is best for the bunny baby is the rule.
9-27-14- Expecting new babies in the morning! Cross your fingers. Not many babies born in the hot months of August and September.
